Overview

Product Overview

The manufacturing facility produces high-quality decorative aluminium and galvanized steel sheets using advanced Thermal Transfer Printing (Dye Sublimation) technology. The process transfers realistic marble, granite, wood, stone and designer finishes onto pre-coated metal substrates. The finished panels combine the aesthetics of natural materials with the durability, light weight and corrosion resistance of metal, making them ideal for modern architectural applications.

Process

Manufacturing Process

Raw Material Inspection

Pre-coated aluminium or galvanized steel sheets are received from approved suppliers. Every batch undergoes inspection for thickness, dimensions, coating quality, surface finish and mechanical properties before being accepted for production.

Decorative transfer films carrying digitally printed marble, granite or wood-grain patterns are also inspected for print quality, colour consistency and transfer performance.

Surface Preparation

The metal sheets are cleaned using suitable chemical cleaners and dust-removal systems to eliminate oil, grease and contaminants. A perfectly clean surface is essential to achieve strong adhesion and defect-free decorative finishes.

The sheets are dried and visually inspected before entering the printing line.

Thermal Transfer Printing

Decorative transfer films are accurately positioned on the metal sheets. The sheet and transfer film pass through a thermal transfer press where precisely controlled temperature, pressure and dwell time activate the dye sublimation process. The decorative pigments migrate from the transfer film into the specially coated metal surface, producing permanent high-resolution patterns that closely resemble natural marble, granite or wood.

The process ensures excellent colour depth, sharp image definition and long-term durability.

Cooling and Inspection

Printed sheets are cooled under controlled conditions to stabilize the decorative coating. Each sheet is visually inspected for print defects, colour variation, scratches, wrinkles, bubbles and transfer uniformity. Rejected sheets are segregated for rework or disposal according to quality procedures.

Protective Coating (Optional)

Depending on customer requirements, a transparent protective topcoat may be applied to improve:

  • UV resistance
  • Scratch resistance
  • Chemical resistance
  • Weather durability
  • Gloss retention

The coating is cured in a controlled curing oven before final inspection.

Final Finishing

Finished sheets undergo trimming, dimensional inspection, edge finishing and surface cleaning before packaging. Every production batch is identified with traceability information including production date, batch number and inspection status.

Applications

Applications

Thermal transfer decorated metal sheets are widely used in modern architecture because they provide the luxurious appearance of natural stone while significantly reducing structural weight. Major applications include:

  • Architectural exterior wall cladding
  • High-rise building façades
  • Commercial building elevations
  • Shopping malls
  • Airports and railway terminals
  • Hotels and hospitality projects
  • Corporate office buildings
  • Residential building façades
  • Interior wall panelling
  • Decorative ceilings
  • Lift lobby interiors
  • Column cladding
  • Exhibition structures
  • Modular building systems
  • False ceiling systems
  • Furniture panels

Compared with natural marble or granite, these decorative metal sheets weigh approximately one-tenth as much, reducing structural load and installation costs while providing excellent corrosion resistance, weather resistance, fire performance and low maintenance. The technology enables architects to achieve premium aesthetic finishes with improved durability, faster installation and enhanced design flexibility for both interior and exterior applications.
